This one of kind Greek Revival building sits in the heart of Yarmouthport and has been part of the village since 1831. The business known as ''Design Works'' today started in 1831 when Foster and Crocker established a dry goods store. They called it the Daniel B. Crocker & Co. The thriving business continued until 1890 with Foster retiring and Sylvester Baker joining the partnership. In 1890 Ben Gorham took over the store and went to dry goods and shoes. In 1912, Ansel Hallett took over the store and it became an antique store for years. Over the years it has also been a bakery, plant and gift store. The current store, Design Works is a classic coastal store filled with custom art, clothing, bedding and stationary. There's something for everyone! In additional to the retail space, there's an apartment on the second floor with 1,134 square feet and a walkup attic with 1,054 square feet.
